Frequently Asked Questions

  • How does strapping help support injury rehabilitation?

Strapping, or the application of adhesive tape to an injured area, is used in injury rehabilitation to provide support and stability to muscles and joints. It helps limit unnecessary movement, allowing the injured tissues to rest and heal while reducing the risk of further injury. Additionally, strapping can enhance proprioceptive feedback from the taped area, helping to improve awareness of joint position and movement. This method is particularly useful in managing sprains and strains by supporting the affected area during recovery.

  • Why are patient exercises important when it comes to improving mobility?

Patient exercises are crucial for improving mobility as they help to strengthen muscles, enhance joint flexibility, and increase range of motion. Regularly performing targeted exercises promotes better blood circulation, which aids in faster recovery and tissue repair. Additionally, exercises can improve coordination and balance, reducing the risk of falls and further injury. Through consistent practice, these exercises gradually rebuild the physical capabilities necessary for everyday activities, thereby enhancing overall mobility and quality of life.

  • Why is it important to get personalised braces to aid in my recovery?

Personalised braces are important in recovery because they are tailored to fit the specific contours of your body, providing optimal support and stability to the injured area. This custom fit ensures that the brace effectively restricts harmful movements while allowing safe ranges of motion, which is crucial for proper healing. Moreover, personalised braces distribute pressure evenly, reducing discomfort and preventing additional injury during recovery. This targeted support helps maintain alignment and can accelerate the rehabilitation process, promoting a faster return to daily activities.
